Following government recommendations please be advised that ALL Probus related activities have ceased for the foreseeable future i.e. meetings, lunches, travel etc.
We will be in touch when resumption seems likely. Keep safe everyone.
Summer Bowls is now finished but, as you can imagine, we are unable to commence indoor bowling this Autumn due to the COVID restrictions. As and when it becomes possible to play we will let you know.
A message from our President, Steve Parfitt.
Hello everyone, just a short note to update you on our online Zoom meetings. We had about 15 members at the October meeting and it was good to have a chat with a few people we’ve not seen for a while. I’ll be sending out the details for future meetings by email closer to their occurrence date so, if you’re free, login and say hello and catch up. If you need help setting yourself up for Zoom, let me know and I’ll get someone to contact you to offer assistance.
We are situated in the attractive and vibrant market town of Sandbach in the heart of South Cheshire with its Saxon Crosses and cobbled market square.
Our Club was formed in 1980 with the support of The Rotary Club of Sandbach and today enjoys a membership of over 60 members. Membership is open to retired professional and business people, or those who have contributed to the success of an organisation in the community.
When We Meet
We hold a Members-Only Meeting every 2nd Tuesday in the month at 10.00 am to which guests may attend, by invitation. At each Meeting we enjoy a selection of very fine guest speakers. Meetings usually finish at noon.
Unless invited by an existing Club Member, members of other Probus Clubs wishing to visit or transfer should contact the Secretary via the e-mail link on our contact page.
Similarly, anyone not invited by an existing Member and wishing to visit or be considered for Membership should also follow the link and provide their full name and contact details 10 days prior to the date of the Meeting.
Where We Meet
We are currently seeking an alternative venue as Bradwall Village Hall is unlikely to continue to be available to us. We will keep you updated when there is more news.
Find out more about our meetings on the Activities page.
